Here are listed some examples of the kind of services I can offer to you, based on my 20 years experience around futures studies, consulting and teaching. In addition to being academic professor of futures studies, I have also worked as a senior executive and futurist in multinational company (Allianz) and have been involved with number of start-up companies as a partner. I have also served as a en expert in large number of governmental initiatives and bodies: for instance; I was for a number of years vice-chair of Finnish Consumer Agency. I am also involved with NGO’s: I have now been 10 years a member of Club of Rome, allegedly world most prestigious NGO of all times, devoted to future of humankind.

Courses
I can tailor different courses depending on the needs of your organisation. For example, I run this spring a course for finnish financial industry executives about foresight. The course consists of three parts/workshops:
1) What do we mean by foresight and how do we understand it as a part of strategic thinking and operations of an organisation?
2) What are the key trends affecting our operating environment in the decades to come?
3) How to build foresight system into your organisation and make it work
Change processes
If your organization, city, region or country needs transformation, new strategic insights or just simply a new direction for the future I can help the necessary change to occur.
I have lead several change processes with various organisations. In this sort endeavors I always start off by charting the values of the people of that organisation using Cultural Transformation Tools.
Then I move on to identify the core mission, focus and strategic objectives of the organisation. These will then be mirrored against the current set-up and the willingness of the people to change. The process is very open and participatory in nature and leads to situation where the organisation redefines itself and see its business in a fresh way.
Case: Rejuvenating Allianz
I developed “Rejuvenating Allianz” programme specially for reinventing the Allianz company.
The programme consisted of two parts:
1) Building a new service model and virtual platform called “Allianz Access” that gave customer radically increased autonomy to acquire and use Allianz products and services
2) Creating a concrete coaching process “Allianz leadership Audit”, where critical issues concerning the leadership inside the company were discussed with the top management.
In short: I first investigated the key issues as raised by employees working in the various levels of the company. Then I translated the perceived needs to concrete future orientated initiatives to take the company towards desired direction.
Investigations
I can make various studies on specific future themes. For example, in the winter 2010-2011 I conducted a study for Prime minister’s office in Finland evaluating long-term climate change and energy policy of Finland as it was expressed in the government’s report on Parliament.
